The hotel boasts an impeccable reputation for meeting and exceeding expectations for every event large and small. The flexible nature of the hotel’s 14 function spaces makes it an ideal choice for large conferencing events. During May of this year the hotel hosted ‘The Higher Education Technology Agenda’ or THETA. THETA is the number one biennial conference in Australasia and it exists to integrate the intelligent use of information technology into research and higher education. The event was catered for around 700 professionals and intellectuals and featured over 100 presentations from A+ list speakers.

Not only did the conference serve to educate and present new and innovative ideas, but it also gave delegates the opportunity to network and socialise with high performing professionals in their industry. The conference was three days long and included a total of 65 exhibition booths throughout the hotel. Every component of the event involved extensive planning and negotiation to ensure it was run efficiently. The Novotel’s Sales and Marketing team is dedicated to coordinating and organising these large events to ensure success. Prior to the THETA conference, there were a total of 6 months of planning with ten hotel site inspections conducted by THETA affiliates.
